At 29, I had spent years building a career I was proud of, but somewhere along the way, I realized I was burnt out and missing something creative. I’d always wanted to build something of my own — I just had absolutely no idea what that something was supposed to be.

Candle making sort of found me by accident. I took a candle-making class on a whim and loved how creative and hands-on it felt. Not long after, I bought my first batch of fragrance oils — not for candles, but to make custom perfumes for my mom and mother-in-law as gifts on my wedding day.

Somewhere in the process, I had the very simple thought: "I could make candles with these."

So I did. And then I made more. I started experimenting with fragrances, waxes, wicks, and everything else I could get my hands on. The more I learned, the more this little hobby started to feel like something bigger. Eventually, I realized Imight have accidentally stumbled into the business I’d always wanted to build.

Before long, my spare room had become a candle studio, I owned more fragrance oils than any reasonable person should, and LYNGR started to feel very real.

So I decided to see where it could go.

LYNGR is my way of creating something that felt like me — a modern candle brand that pairs beautiful, thoughtfully made fragrances with a little personality. Something that feels elevated without being pretentious, relatable without being
gimmicky, and never takes itself too seriously.
